01Sponsor
Pole Position is operated by [LEGAL ENTITY NAME], [ADDRESS] (the “Sponsor”). Questions about these Rules: p1@polepositionapp.com.
02Eligibility
Open to legal residents of the 50 United States and the District of Columbia who are 18 years or older at the time of entry. Void where prohibited or restricted by law. Employees of the Sponsor and their immediate family members are not eligible to win prizes.
Anyone may play and be scored. Prize eligibility additionally requires a verified email address on the account that submitted the pick.
03How to play — free, always
Sign in with your email address. Before the scheduled start of a Grand Prix, submit a podium prediction: first, second and third place. One pick per person per race. Picks cannot be edited once submitted and lock automatically at the scheduled race start.
Playing is free. There is no entry fee, no purchase, and no payment of any kind at any stage.
04Scoring
Each pick is scored against the official classification published by the governing body:
- 5 points — driver predicted in the exact finishing position
- 2 points — driver finishes on the podium, in a different position
- +5 bonus — all three predicted in exact order
- Maximum 20 points per race. Minimum 0. No negative scores.
Pole Position (the model) submits its own podium for every race, frozen before the same deadline and revealed at race start. If your score equals the model’s, the tie is awarded to you.
Scoring uses official results only. Where results are amended by the stewards after publication, the amended classification governs.
05The Paddock Draw (sweepstakes — random)
The Paddock Draw runs for the final four rounds of the 2026 season: the São Paulo, Las Vegas, Qatar and Abu Dhabi Grands Prix. After each of those races is graded, one winner is selected at random from that round’s tickets, normally on the Sunday evening (US Mountain Time) after the race. After the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, one further winner is selected at random from all tickets earned across the four rounds (the “Season Finale Draw”). Every ticket counts in its round’s draw and in the Season Finale Draw.
Tickets are earned per round as follows:
- 1 ticket — submitting a pick that locks for that race
- 2 additional tickets — submitting before the start of first practice
- 1 additional ticket — submitting before the day of qualifying (UTC)
- 1 ticket for every 5 points scored, where points are the race score plus 5 for equalling or beating the model’s score. Points short of a full ticket carry over to the next round within these four rounds.
- 2 tickets for each new player who signs up through your referral link and has a pick graded for the first time in that round, up to 5 referred players per round. The referred player receives 1 additional ticket in that round.
Tickets cannot be bought, sold or transferred, and are never deducted from your score. Following any social media account does not earn tickets and is not required. Tickets expire after the Season Finale Draw.
Odds of winning depend on the total number of eligible tickets in each draw. Each draw is random and final: the Sponsor stores the complete ticket pool, the random seed and the selected ticket for every draw.
06Season standings (skill) — no prize in 2026
Season standings measuring cumulative prediction skill are published for information only. No prize is awarded on season standings in 2026.
07Prizes
One prize per draw. Prizes and their approximate retail value (ARV) are listed below and confirmed on the Paddock Draw page before each draw:

- Las Vegas GP draw: to be confirmed
- Qatar GP draw: to be confirmed

Some prizes are provided by partner brands, who are named with their prize. The Sponsor may substitute a prize of equal or greater value. Licensed merchandise is purchased at retail and implies no affiliation.
Recognition awards — being named in the results email, community channels or social posts — carry no monetary value and are not prizes.
08Claiming a prize
Winners are notified at the email address on their account. A prize must be claimed within 14 days of that notification. Unclaimed prizes are forfeited and may be rolled into a later draw.
Shipping details are collected at the time of claim and used only to deliver the prize.
09Taxes
Winners are responsible for all taxes on prizes. U.S. winners receiving prizes with an aggregate value of $600 or more in a calendar year may be required to provide a taxpayer identification number, and the Sponsor may be required to report the value to tax authorities.
10Publicity
Except where prohibited, entering constitutes consent to the use of your display handle for the purpose of announcing results and winners. The Sponsor does not publish entrants’ email addresses.
11Fair play
One account per person. The Sponsor may void picks or disqualify an entrant for multiple accounts, automated entry, or any attempt to interfere with the operation of the game.
12Changes and termination
The Sponsor may modify or discontinue the Paddock Draw at any time. Scoring rules will not be changed part-way through a season. Material changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date.
13Not affiliated with Formula 1
Pole Position is an independent product. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or associated with Formula 1, the FIA, Formula One World Championship Limited, or any competing team.
